Quality nutrition for seniors

Program Profile
This well-known program delivers nutritious meals to homebound seniors.

Weekly deliveries include seven lunch/dinner meals plus seven breakfast meals featuring waffles, hot and cold cereals, and other breakfast entrees. A week's worth of milk, fresh fruit, bread, and apple or orange juice is also provided. Lunch/dinner meals arrive frozen so they can be microwaved and enjoyed at the recipient's convenience.

Staff deliver a meal package to program participants at prearranged times each week. Microwave ovens are also made available to those seniors who don't already own one or cannot afford to purchase a unit.

Eligibility
Service is available to homebound individuals who are 60 years of age or older.

Cost and Assistance
The program encourages a contribution of at least $1.80 per day in order to offset actual meal costs and to help provide this vital service to as many seniors as possible. No person will be denied meals due to inability to pay all.
